In the early hours of April 1, Sawang Boriboon Dhammasathan Radio Centre in Pattaya City received an urgent distress call. Reports indicated a near-drowning incident unfolding at the beach near Soi Jomtien 11, sending rescue teams into swift action.
As the clock struck 3:16 a.m., a sense of urgency gripped the beachgoers. Among them, Mr. Lloyd, a 58-year-old Australian visitor, ventured into the sea for a swim. Moments later, he disappeared from view, prompting concern among both Thai locals and foreign tourists witnessing the scene.

Before official assistance could arrive, a quick-thinking Thai individual rushed to Mr. Lloyd’s aid, guiding him safely back to shore. However, Mr. Lloyd’s condition was dire; he had sustained severe injuries and lost consciousness. Volunteer rescue workers from Sawang Boriboon Dhamma Sathan in Pattaya City administered crucial first aid and performed CPR on him, battling to revive him before transporting him to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
