HONG KONG – In a football friendly held on Monday, Hong Kong, China experienced a disappointing 1-0 loss to Thailand on their home turf.
Throughout the first half, Thailand had several scoring opportunities, but Hong Kong’s goalkeeper, Yapp Hung Fai, made impressive saves, keeping the scoreline level.
However, in the 63rd minute, Thailand managed to break through Hong Kong’s defense when Teerasil Dangda skillfully penetrated the penalty area and scored with a well-placed shot.
In the final moments of the game, Hong Kong, China made a desperate push forward, appealing for a penalty, but the referee decided to let the play continue.
This defeat follows Hong Kong’s previous 1-0 loss to Vietnam in an away match held last Thursday.
