Deputy Police Chief Summoned in Online Gambling Investigation

In a noteworthy turn of events, the Criminal Court has taken a significant step by issuing a summons for Deputy National Police Commissioner Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn. The summons alleges his involvement in money laundering activities associated with an online gambling enterprise, marking a concerning development within law enforcement circles.

The issuance of this summons comes on the heels of a request made by Deputy Metropolitan Police Commissioner Pol Maj Gen Tinnakorn Rangmart. Rangmart sought arrest warrants for a total of five individuals, Surachate among them, in connection with the suspected online gambling operation.

Given Surachate’s esteemed position within the hierarchy of law enforcement, the Court has chosen to summon him rather than immediately issue an arrest warrant. This decision underscores the gravity of the allegations against him and allows him the opportunity to respond to the charges in a formal legal setting.

It’s noteworthy to mention that among the individuals targeted for warrants, three hold positions within the police force, while one is a civilian. This revelation adds layers of complexity to the ongoing investigation, hinting at potential systemic issues within law enforcement structures.

The request presented to the Court specifically identifies the online gambling network under scrutiny as “BNK Master.” This naming indicates a targeted effort to dismantle and bring to justice those involved in the alleged illicit activities associated with this operation.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the outcome of Surachate’s summons will undoubtedly be closely watched by both law enforcement officials and the general public alike. The case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing battle against organized crime and corruption within society, even at the highest levels of authority.
