On March 10, a tragic incident unfolded along Thailand’s Highway 7, as authorities from Highway Police Division 1, led by Colonel Duanphon, were alerted to a fatal motorcycle collision in the inbound lane. The location, Nong Prue Sub-district, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, became the center of emergency response efforts. Swiftly, responders from the Suwannabumrung Dhammasthan Pattaya Foundation mobilized to the scene.
The aftermath revealed a scene of chaos, with traffic backing up for over half a kilometer due to the collision involving a blue Retro 110 motorcycle, registered as 3 KTH 4525. Tragically, amidst the wreckage, the lifeless body of Miss Sirikan Sakkalang, aged 56, was found. She was adorned in a red checkered shirt and navy-stained overalls, a poignant image amidst the chaos. As rescue personnel attended to the scene, her body was respectfully covered with a white cloth.
On the opposite end, a black Benz sedan with registration number KGA 9888, originating from Bangkok, driven by Mr. Peng Zhimin, a 36-year-old Chinese national, bore damage on its left side. Mr. Peng recounted the harrowing moment when the motorcycle suddenly veered in front of his vehicle while he was traveling in the right lane towards Pattaya, resulting in the collision. The impact propelled the victim’s body onto the car’s front windshield before falling to the ground.

Startled by the incident, Mr. Peng promptly halted his vehicle and alerted the authorities. Preliminary investigations overseen by Colonel Duanphon meticulously documented the details of the tragedy and secured crucial CCTV footage as evidence.
Meanwhile, the solemn task of transporting the victim’s remains to Bang Lamung Hospital fell to the emergency responders, pending necessary legal procedures for her funeral arrangements, in observance of religious customs.
