Firefighter Rescues Cat Trapped in Well for Four Days

In a delicate rescue operation, a training instructor from Jack Fire Rescue Training Service rappelled approximately 10 meters into an abandoned well near Warin Chamrap-Kantrararam Road to retrieve the stranded cat. The operation, witnessed by a gathering of local residents, ended in relief and celebration as the cat was brought to safety.

Mr. Supawat Khamman, 53, an official from the Sadao Wan group, had requested the rescue after hearing about the missing cat. He explained that the feline, named “Nang Suea” (Mrs. Tiger), was a stray that office staff had been feeding for the past one to two months.

Tragically, Nang Suea’s mate, a cat named “Panda,” had died just a week earlier. According to Khamman, she had been seen lying near Panda’s burial site, which was close to the well, before disappearing. His daughter had heard the cat’s cries since Sunday but was unable to find her until March 20, when she was discovered trapped at the bottom of the well.

Thanks to the quick response of the rescue team, Nang Suea was safely recovered and is now back under the care of those who had been looking after her.
