First SRT Royal Blossom Train Arrives in Hua Hin

Recently, Mr. Preeda Sukjai, Permanent Secretary of Prachuap Province, welcomed approximately 200 tourists arriving on the inaugural SRT Royal Blossom special tourist train at Hua Hin Railway Station. The event, which also featured Mr. Ashwan Kongkanan, Director of TAT Prachuap Office, Ms. Patcharasri Sombattaweepoon from Prachuap Province Tourism and Sports, Ms. Busaba Choksuchart, Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin, Mrs. Wasana Srikanchana, President of the Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association, Mr. Chanat Pongtharathik, President of Prachuap Province Tourism Industry, and Mr. Pornchai Noosit of Hua Hin Railway Station, brought a vibrant atmosphere to the station.

Upon arrival, Mr. Sukjai and his team greeted tourists warmly, took photos, and expressed their enthusiasm for the special train service. He noted that Hua Hin Railway Station is a significant historical site and a key tourist destination in Prachuap Province, which plays a vital role in boosting the local economy. He also thanked the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) and other partners involved in organizing the eight SRT Royal Blossom trips.

Mr. Ashwan Kongkanan highlighted that the special train service, operating every weekend throughout September, aims to stimulate tourism in Hua Hin during the green season. The train is expected to generate approximately 10 million baht in local revenue. The service, known for its charm, includes trips on the classic train No. 913/914 on September 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29.

Passengers can choose between two types of seating: group or private, with a total of 176 seats per trip. The train departs from Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong) at 06:45 a.m. and arrives in Hua Hin at 10:30 a.m. The itinerary features a range of activities, including visits to historical sites like Hua Hin Station and Phra Mongkutklao’s Tabernacle, lunch at “Krua Ban Kru,” shopping for local textiles, and a tour of Khao Tao Reservoir and Ban Khao Tao Weaving Center. The journey concludes with shopping at Cicada Market and Tamarind Market before returning to Bangkok Station at 21:55 hrs.
