It was reported that heavy rain and strong winds in Pattaya City recently caused the collapse of scaffolding at a construction site, resulting in damage to power lines and high-voltage poles. The incident occurred on Pattaya Klang Road in Soi Arunothai, Nongprue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province.

The construction site, where a 7-story hotel is being built, had scaffolding surrounding the building. Strong winds caused sections of the scaffolding to collapse, with metal sheets falling into the middle of the road. The fallen debris struck high-voltage power lines, bringing down power poles and obstructing the road. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
Pattaya City Special Affairs officers quickly responded by closing both lanes of the affected road to ensure public safety. They also coordinated with the Pattaya City Electricity Authority to inspect the damaged power lines and work with other relevant agencies to clear the road and restore normal conditions.
