On September 11, 2024, the Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin, Ms. Pailin Kongpan, inaugurated the “Village Doctors in the Royal Initiative (Civic Duty with a Medicine Bag)” training program. The event, held at Naviphrom Hotel in Hua Hin, was part of the 2024 fiscal year’s public health initiative, funded under the Royal Initiative Project. The project aims to enhance community health and self-care knowledge through educational workshops.
The training program is designed to equip participants with basic healthcare knowledge, including first aid and simple disease treatment. By the end of the course, attendees will be able to care for their own health and that of their families, as well as serve as public health resources within their communities in Hua Hin.

It was reported that the event drew a wide range of participants, including representatives from local health volunteer groups, watersports clubs, beach business operators, and other related organizations, totaling 80 attendees. Speakers from Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin, led by Ms. Praewphan Charoensrithongkul, along with officials from Wang Phong Subdistrict Administrative Organization and the Thai Water Rescue Association, were also present to provide expert guidance.
