On October 9, 2024, Mayor of Hua Hin, Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul, inspected the water drainage system at the Royal Initiative Canal in the Takiab community. The visit followed heavy rainfall over the past one to two days, caused by a monsoon trough passing through the upper southern region, leading to delays in water drainage. Weeds and debris were also found obstructing the water flow.
In response, the mayor ordered the use of backhoes to remove the blockage and improve water flow. Later in the visit, Mr. Nopporn was joined by Deputy Mayor Ms. Phailin Kongpan, Mr. Atichat Chaisri, local council members, sanitation department officials, and other relevant personnel to further assess the situation.
