Hua Hin’s Municipality recently held a graduation ceremony for the sixth class of its Senior Citizen School, known as Wi-Lai Wai Wan. On August 28, 2024, Pailin Kongpan, Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin, presided over the ceremony, awarding certificates to 100 graduates at the Major Cineplex, located on the third floor of the Market Village Hua Hin shopping center.

The project targets seniors and those approaching retirement age within the Hua Hin municipality area, aiming to foster lifelong learning and community engagement. The program has been well-received, providing participants with opportunities to learn, engage in group activities, and feel a sense of self-worth. Participants are encouraged to utilize their skills and knowledge to benefit their communities, contributing to society and enhancing their personal development across various dimensions. The sixth cohort completed its curriculum on August 4, 2024.

It was reported that numerous municipal officials were present to support the event, including Butsaba Choksuchart, another Deputy Mayor, as well as members of the municipal council, directors of the Welfare, Finance, and Social Services departments, and other relevant officials.
