Intouch Holdings Launches Investigation into Discrepancies Surrounding ITV Shareholders’ Meeting

Intouch Holdings Public Company Limited (Intouch), the majority shareholder of ITV Public Company Limited (ITV), has initiated a thorough investigation into the discrepancies surrounding the recent ITV Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. The meeting, which took place on an undisclosed date, became the center of attention when a video recording surfaced contradicting the statements made by the chairman during the event.

The recording, which has since garnered significant public interest, captured the chairman’s response to a question regarding the company’s engagement with the media. Contrary to the official documents previously disclosed prior to the meeting, the chairman stated that ITV had no dealings with the media.

In response to these developments, Intouch issued a formal document on June 12, 2023, addressing the matter. The document, signed by Mr. Kim Siritaweechai, the Managing Director of Intouch Holdings Public Company Limited, notified both the Board of Directors and the Stock Exchange of Thailand about the situation concerning ITV.

Highlighting the significance of the issue, the document emphasized that media coverage surrounding the shareholders’ meeting has attracted considerable public attention. Consequently, the company has informed the relevant parties and authorized the Board of Directors and management of ITV to conduct a comprehensive fact-finding investigation into the matter. The purpose of this investigation is to ascertain the accuracy of the chairman’s statement during the meeting and to take appropriate action based on the findings.

Intouch Holdings reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, good governance, and adherence to various laws. As such, ITV is fully dedicated to resolving the discrepancies as quickly as possible. By addressing these concerns promptly and with utmost integrity, the company aims to demonstrate its commitment to shareholders and the wider public.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of accuracy, accountability, and open communication in corporate settings. As the investigation unfolds, stakeholders eagerly await the results to assess the impact on ITV and its future operations.
