Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park Attracts 139,000 Visitors in 2024

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park Sees Over 139,000 Visitors in 2024, Generating Significant Revenue

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, one of Thailand’s most iconic natural attractions, welcomed a total of 139,667 visitors during the 2024 fiscal year, according to recent data. The park experienced a near-even split between domestic and international tourists, with 69,066 Thai visitors and 70,601 foreign visitors. This influx has been a positive boost for the park, which is renowned for its scenic limestone mountains, wetlands, and rich biodiversity.

The park generated a total revenue of 16,379,165 baht for the year. A significant portion of this revenue came from international visitors, who pay a higher entrance fee of 200 baht compared to the 40 baht charged to Thai nationals. This pricing strategy allows the park to maintain accessibility for locals while maximizing financial support from foreign tourists.

The popularity of Khao Sam Roi Yot highlights its importance not only as a natural reserve but also as a key player in the country’s ecotourism sector, providing both recreational and educational experiences for visitors from around the world. As Thailand continues to promote its national parks, the revenue generated will contribute to ongoing conservation efforts, ensuring the preservation of this unique ecosystem for future generations
