On March 25, 2024, Dr. Kampanat Klinsaowakon, the Koh Samui District Chief, under the supervision of Mr. Chatchai Manee, Senior Permanent Secretary of Koh Samui District, issued directives to the Koh Samui District Security Department and a specialized team from the Tourism Department. Their mission: to ensure order and facilitate convenience for tourists arriving on the CELEBRITY SOLSTICE cruise ship. With a total of 2,862 passengers, all hailing from European nations, the cruise embarked from Laem Chabang, making a stop at Koh Samui for a One Day Trip. The tourists indulged in various activities, including exploring cultural sites like Wat Phra Yai, Wat Plai Laem, and Wat Sila Ngu, lounging on the pristine Bo Phut Beach, visiting elephant camps, and exploring community tourist attractions, totaling over 1,100 individuals. Some travelers opted for independent exploration and spa treatments, while others savored local cuisine before continuing their journey to Singapore.

Dr. Kampanat highlighted the establishment of a security center, integrating various local agencies, to ensure smooth operations. Organized pick-up points facilitated transportation for tourists, with 11 large buses, 9 four-wheel drive vehicles, 50 vans, and over 20 other vehicles deployed. This comprehensive approach not only streamlined traffic but also provided flexibility to accommodate the influx of visitors.
