Mr. Prachaya Aunpetchwarakorn, Deputy Governor of Chonburi Province, emphasized that the Miss Chonburi contest is not merely a celebration of the beauty of Thai women but also a significant effort to promote local culture and develop the potential of the province’s people on a global scale. The contest’s theme, “Local to Global,” reflects the ambition to elevate Chonburi’s culture, traditions, and local wisdom to an international audience. According to Mr. Prachaya, Chonburi is rich in resources, including natural beauty, art, culture, and a population with considerable talent and potential, all of which can contribute to its global standing.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Kansinee Milinjaroenpong, President of the Miss Chonburi pageant, noted that this year’s event aligns with Thailand’s broader strategy of using “Soft Power” to project and promote the country’s unique culture internationally. She explained that “Soft Power” relies on the influence of cultural values, beauty, and positive image-building to foster stronger relations between countries, making it a crucial tool for international engagement. The Miss Chonburi 2025 pageant exemplifies this approach, aiming to enhance the province’s global reputation through its rich cultural diversity and prominent tourist attractions.
