In the early hours of August 27, 2024, a motorcycle accident occurred in Pattaya, leaving two individuals seriously injured. At approximately 3:20 a.m., the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya Rescue Radio Center received a report of a motorcycle that lost control and collided with a sidecar vehicle on a road in Soi Wat Boonkanjanaram, near the Nong Phong intersection in Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. Rescue teams and medical staff from Pattaya City Hospital were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, authorities found a grey Honda PCX motorcycle with Chonburi license plates severely damaged in the middle of the road. Nearby, a foreign male, whose nationality remains unknown, was discovered with a large laceration on his head. Rescue personnel and medical staff provided first aid at the scene before rushing him to the hospital for urgent medical care.
A short distance away, another vehicle, a sidecar motorcycle used for selling rice porridge, was found overturned with its contents scattered across the ground. The driver, identified as Ms. Supaporn (surname withheld), 42, sustained severe injuries and had already been transported to the hospital by rescue teams earlier.
Mr. Buntham (surname withheld), 43, the injured woman’s husband, stated that he was riding a motorcycle behind the sidecar operated by his wife, heading towards the Mae Lao market. He reported that a foreign tourist riding a motorcycle at high speed attempted to overtake a car but failed to do so, losing control and swerving into the opposite lane, resulting in a full-force collision with the sidecar motorcycle.

The police, led by the investigating officer in charge of the case, conducted an initial inspection of the accident site. They plan to review CCTV footage from the vicinity to determine the exact cause of the accident. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the crash and establish responsibility for the incident.
