NACC Reveals Decline in Assets of Former MPs, Including Move Forward Party Leader

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has made public the asset declarations of 40 former members of parliament, which includes Pita Limjaroenrat, the leader of the Move Forward Party. According to the NACC, Pita’s assets have decreased by 41 million baht from 2019, totaling 85 million baht at the end of his term in the dissolved parliament in March.

The majority of Pita’s assets, valued at 85 million baht, were composed of rights and concessions. The remaining assets consisted of insurance and benefits worth 19 million baht, a land plot in Pranburi district worth 18 million baht, buildings and structures, and a 15 million baht loan to Pita’s brother, Phasin Limjaroenrat.

Additionally, Pita reported 12 million baht worth of equipment and accessories, such as mobile phones, shirts, shoes, watches, and Buddha amulets.

However, Pita’s liabilities amounted to 20.74 million baht, which included bank loans of 19.93 million baht and credit card debt from five credit card accounts totaling 807,414 baht.

It was also noted that Pita listed his holdings of shares in ITV Plc. as part of his investment portfolio, although the shares had already been transferred. The report clarified that the shares, valued at 44,100 baht, were held by Pita in his capacity as the individual responsible for managing inheritance from his late father, as per a court order.

At the beginning of his term in 2019, Pita and his spouse jointly declared assets worth 137.78 million baht, with Pita’s individual assets amounting to 126 million baht. With the recent disclosure and the end of his marriage, Pita’s assets have decreased by 41.35 million baht.
