Pattaya Prepares for Chonburi International Music Festival

On August 27, 2024, a meeting was held at The Bayview Hotel in Pattaya to discuss preparations for the Chonburi International Music Festival, which will take place during the rainy season. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Kritsana Bunsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, Mr. Somchai Chomphunoi, Eastern Regional Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and Mr. Morakot Suddee, Director of the Eastern Market Division at the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

The Chonburi International Music Festival is part of the “Quick Win” tourism stimulus measures for 2024, aimed at boosting tourism in various provincial groups across Thailand. The festival is designed to promote local culture and attract visitors by showcasing unique aspects of the region through a variety of events. These include arts and cultural presentations, performances of both local and contemporary music, city decorations, craft and food stalls, and exhibitions highlighting tourist attractions in major city areas and destinations deemed worth visiting.

The festival is set to be part of the “Thai Charm Fair,” an initiative that emphasizes the distinct cultural identity of each region in Thailand. The event will operate under the concept of “Thai charm,” promoting the “5 Must Do” experiences in Thailand, which aims to encourage tourists to explore the diverse and rich cultural heritage of the country.

It was reported that the meeting at The Bayview Hotel included participation from numerous officials and representatives from various sectors. Their involvement was crucial in finalizing arrangements for the festival, ensuring a coordinated effort in promoting tourism and local culture during the event.
