Pattaya Supports Athletes for National Student Sports Competition

The Pattaya City Administrative Committee has extended its support to local athletes preparing for the National Student Sports Competition, which will take place from August 15 to August 24, 2024. This event, hosted at the Thappraya Conference Room in Pattaya City Hall, marks the culmination of regional qualifiers for the 38th Local Government Organization Student Sports Competition.

Deputy Mayor Kritsana Bunsawat addressed the athletes and their supporters during a motivational speech. He highlighted the significance of the competition and encouraged the athletes as they head to the national finals. The event was attended by members of the Pattaya City Council and administrators from all 11 educational institutions under Pattaya City. The assembly was part of a broader effort by the Children and Youth Activities Department within the Education Bureau to support young athletes.

In preparation for the national finals, Pattaya City has actively participated in the qualifying rounds of the competition, which were held from June 19 to June 29, 2024, in Wang Nam Yen Municipality, Sa Kaeo Province. Out of 257 athletes who competed in the Eastern Region qualifiers, those selected will represent Pattaya in the national finals, which will be hosted by Roi Et Municipality in Roi Et Province.
