Police Restrain Foreigner Causing Disturbance in Pattaya

On March 29, 2024, at 9:30 p.m., Pattaya City Police Station received reports of a foreigner causing a disturbance along Sukhumvit Road, Pattaya. The individual, exhibiting signs of hallucination, was hurling stones at villagers near the entrance to Pattaya Klang. Upon arrival, police officers found the foreign tourist in a frenzied state, unresponsive to persuasion attempts.

Wearing a black shirt and brown shorts, the individual posed a threat to anyone who approached him, shouting loudly and making erratic movements. Despite efforts to communicate, the foreigner remained in a hallucinatory state, unable to engage in coherent conversation. Fearing escalation, police intervened swiftly, successfully restraining the individual before further harm ensued.

According to witnesses, the disturbance arose when villagers discovered the foreigner amidst a bout of hallucination, expressing paranoia and fear of impending physical harm. Unable to calm the agitated individual, villagers alerted authorities to mitigate the situation.

Following the incident, police detained the perpetrator to de-escalate tensions and ensure public safety. However, details regarding the foreigner’s identity and nationality remain undisclosed, prompting further investigation by Pattaya City Police Station.
