On March 20, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., Khao Tao Reservoir in Khao Tao Village, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Province, witnessed the commencement of the Prachuap Khiri Khan running event, “Run Khan Do” or “Run Kan Du.” Mr. Khomkrit Charoenpatanasombat, Deputy Governor of Prachuap Province, led the opening ceremony alongside various officials, including Mr. Preeda Sukjai, Permanent Secretary of Prachuap Province, and Mr. Damrong Makrachan, Prachuap Provincial Development Officer.
More than 2,000 enthusiastic runners, including government officials and members of the public, gathered to participate in the 4.8 km run around Khao Tao Reservoir. Mr. Khomkrit Charoenpattanasombat highlighted the significance of organizing the “Run Khan Do” activity in Hua Hin District, marking its fourth occurrence before extending to other districts in the province.


The “Run Kan Du” event aims to promote health and tourism in Prachuap Province, facilitated by collaboration with the Provincial Red Cross Society and various government agencies. It serves to foster community engagement and networking across different sectors, promoting teamwork and unity. This initiative is part of a larger series of district and provincial-level events scheduled between February 28th and May 1st, 2024.
Following the successful completion of the run, the ceremonial flag was passed on to Kui Buri District to host the next installment of the Prachuap Khiri Khan “Run Kan Du” event. The event’s success was attributed to the cooperation of all sectors involved, reflecting a collective commitment to promoting health and community spirit in the region.
