On August 14, 2024, a preparatory meeting for the 5th CIMB THAI TRIATHLON 2024 was held, marking a significant step towards organizing the upcoming competition. The meeting, chaired by Hua Hin District Chief Polkrit Puangwalaisin, included key participants such as Petty Officer 1st Class Kasemsak Padod from the Tourism Promotion Department and representatives from CIMB THAI Bank Public Company Limited, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Prachuap Khiri Khan Office, Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association, and Hua Hin Police Station. The gathering took place at the King Son meeting room of Suan Son Pradipat Hotel.


The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of the event, covering various aspects such as race routes, athlete safety, and venue preparations. The CIMB THAI TRIATHLON 2024, scheduled for December 1, 2024, at Suan Son Pradipat, aims to enhance the visibility of CIMB Group and CIMB THAI Bank within the ASEAN region, emphasizing the value of investing in health. The event is also intended to boost sports tourism in the Hua Hin and Prachuap Khiri Khan area.
Approximately 500 athletes are expected to participate, with applications set to close in September. The preparation meeting underscored the collaboration between government and private entities in ensuring a well-organized and successful triathlon competition.
It was reported that the meeting involved detailed discussions on all aspects of the event’s organization, reflecting the commitment of all parties to deliver a high-quality triathlon experience.
