Roi Et Province Hosts 5th Asian Championship Beach Volleyball Tournament

On July 14, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., Mr. Sanong Dolprasit, Deputy Governor of Roi Et Province, inaugurated the Escola beach volleyball tournament, the 5th Asian Championship 2023. The event, held at Nong Ya Ma Municipal School in Mueang District, Roi Et Province, saw the presence of Mr. Banchong Kositjiranan, Mayor of Roi Et City, representatives from the Asian Volleyball Federation, the Volleyball Association of Thailand, and other government officials.

The tournament aims to select representatives for the Asian beach volleyball team, who will compete in the upcoming World Championship later this year. A total of 42 teams, consisting of 24 men’s teams and 18 women’s teams from 12 countries, are participating in the competition. The tournament provides an opportunity for players to showcase their skills and further enhance their proficiency in beach volleyball.

A highlight of the event was the match between the Australian national team and the Thai national team, which garnered significant public interest. The competition schedule spans from July 13 to July 16, 2023, at the beach volleyball court at Nong Ya Ma School. The matches are open to the public, and spectators can attend the event free of charge.
