Shocking Discovery: Missing German Businessman’s Remains Found Dismembered in Pattaya Rental Property

In a startling turn of events, the discovery of the remains of Hans Peter Mack, a German businessman who had been missing, has sent shockwaves through the community. The grim revelation unfolded in the early hours of this morning, around 12:30 a.m., when authorities stumbled upon the gruesome scene at a rented property in Chokchai Garden Home 1 Village, situated in the vibrant city of Pattaya. Officials from Bang Lamung have since confirmed the identity of the 62-year-old victim.

The mysterious disappearance of Hans Peter Mack took a chilling turn as law enforcement unearthed his dismembered remains, shockingly hidden within black garbage bags that were meticulously stowed away in a large freezer within the rented premises.

The breakthrough in the investigation came as a result of careful examination of leads and the scrutiny of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage by the police. According to a report from The Pattaya News, the video evidence depicted individuals, potentially foreigners, transporting the freezer in a black pickup truck.

The ongoing investigation has prompted police officers from Region 2 and the Pattaya City Police Station to explore another property within the ACHILL GARDENS village, located in the Nong Prue Subdistrict of the Bang Lamung District, which is believed to be connected to the case. CCTV footage and mobile phone signals traced to the area led the authorities to conduct a thorough search. However, their inspection of the property, conducted alongside the owner and sub-tenant, yielded no unusual findings. The owner of the house also confirmed that a housekeeper had visited on July 8th, discovering nothing out of the ordinary.

Neighbours residing near the rented property reported observing individuals at the premises until yesterday morning, July 10th, adding another layer of intrigue to this baffling case.

Additionally, reports have emerged indicating that the investigative team of police officers has uncovered financial transactions exceeding 2 million baht, which may potentially be linked to the case. However, further evidence is required to ascertain the precise connection.

A neighbor, Rewat Rodchuen, aged 35, disclosed that among the individuals seen at the property was a German friend of Mack, known solely as Olaf. According to Rewat, Olaf had been residing in the rental property for approximately three months and was questioned by the police regarding Mack’s disappearance over the weekend. Accompanying Olaf was a disabled German woman whose name remains unknown to Rewat. Both Olaf and the disabled woman departed the property early yesterday morning following an interview with Nong Prue Police the previous evening.

Throughout the course of the interview, Olaf remained tight-lipped, directing the authorities to communicate with his lawyer. Thai police suspect the involvement of Thai citizens in the tragic outcome of Mack’s life.

As the investigation progresses, the police anticipate releasing additional details later today, including the issuance of arrest warrants for suspects believed to be connected to Mack’s untimely demise. While the motive behind the crime remains unclear at this stage, law enforcement authorities suspect a possible business-related connection. Stepping into the forefront of the investigation is the esteemed Thai deputy police chief, Pol. Gen. Surachate “Big Joke” Hakparn, who formally assumed control of the case yesterday.

As the community grapples with the shocking revelation and the search for answers intensifies, the authorities are committed to uncovering the truth behind Hans Peter Mack’s tragic fate.
