Bangkok, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently captivated attendees at an international business event held in Bangkok by presenting a series of virtual showcase activities that showcased innovative and exciting ways to explore the country. The event, titled “TEP x 0110 ASIA TECHLAND 2023 – Bring the Future,” took place from May 25-28 at the prestigious Royal Paragon Hall and was organized by Social Lab Co Ltd and the Thai Real Estate Association. With exhibitors from various industries, both public and private sectors, the event aimed to provide a platform for discussing solutions and business models to address crucial issues and concerns while envisioning the future.

A focal point of the event was the display of cutting-edge advancements and ideas from around the globe that aimed to enhance the quality of life in a convenient, environmentally friendly, and sustainable manner. Among the exhibits, two virtual experiences stood out, attracting significant attention and generating buzz. The first was the ‘FUTURE Ride’ Experience, which utilized state-of-the-art robot technology photography. This virtual tour enabled participants to explore various captivating destinations throughout Thailand, all without leaving the confines of the room. The second popular exhibit was the ‘Thai Travel Room,’ a multisensory journey that combined visual elements with scents, providing an immersive travel experience that transported visitors to the beautiful sights and enchanting aromas of Thailand.

During the event, Nithee Seeprae, the TAT’s Deputy Governor for Digitalisation, Research, and Development, delivered an insightful speech titled ‘The Future of Tourism: Trends and Technologies.’ He emphasized the TAT’s commitment to adaptability and innovation in the face of a rapidly changing world. Seeprae discussed how the organization was proactively embracing new approaches to tourism, ensuring that Thailand remains a sought-after destination for travelers worldwide while catering to their evolving needs.

By championing more sustainable practices, the TAT aims to position Thailand as a preferred vacation destination that embraces responsible tourism principles.

With its forward-thinking approach, the Tourism Authority of Thailand continues to redefine travel experiences, capturing the imagination of travelers and industry professionals alike. The virtual showcases presented at the international business event in Bangkok not only showcased the country’s beauty but also highlighted Thailand’s commitment to embracing the future while preserving its rich cultural heritage.
