At Baan Sukhawadee, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Pattaya Office announced its 2025 marketing plan for regional tourism, unveiling strategies to promote lesser-known destinations in the eastern region. The event also welcomed a rally caravan of entrepreneurs and media representatives from nine provinces across eastern and central Thailand. The caravan, part of the “Colorful Burapha” initiative, aims to explore hidden gems in Chonburi Province. The group was led by Mr. Somchai Chomphunoi, Director of the Eastern Region, and welcomed by Ms. Urai Mukpradabthong, Director of the TAT Pattaya Office, along with other TAT officials.
Ms. Urai Mukpradabthong highlighted Chonburi’s diverse tourism offerings, which cater to visitors of all ages and interests. “Chonburi offers a range of experiences, from recreational to educational, with options suitable for families, including hotels, restaurants, and attractions. The province is well-known for its delicious cuisine and vibrant cafés, as well as numerous activities that create lasting memories,” she said. Chonburi has long been a favorite destination for both Thai and international tourists, aligning perfectly with the TAT Eastern Region’s marketing concept of “Number one in food, ultimate fun in travel, full of faith, learning about love.”
Looking ahead to 2025, the TAT Pattaya Office plans to focus on promoting high-value tourism products and services to offer superior travel experiences. Ms. Urai mentioned that the upcoming marketing strategy will target foreign tourists, particularly expatriates living in Thailand. The goal is to encourage travel to secondary locations within Chonburi Province, such as Sri Racha, Sattahip, Bang Saray, Phanat Nikhom, and Bo Thong, in an effort to broaden tourists’ perspectives and experiences. These areas are known for activities like golf, and the TAT plans to organize events for expat communities, particularly Japanese and Indian residents, under the theme “Amazing Chonburi: Your stories never end.”
As part of these efforts, the TAT Pattaya Office will also work to stimulate weekday travel by offering new experiences through the “5 Must Do in Chonburi” initiative. This strategy aims to diversify tourism and increase visitation to secondary destinations, while showcasing Chonburi’s unique attractions beyond the typical weekend crowds.
Officials present at the press conference included several representatives from the TAT Pattaya Office, underscoring the importance of this initiative in shaping the region’s tourism landscape for 2025. It was reported that the caravan’s journey was met with enthusiasm, highlighting the region’s potential to attract both domestic and international travelers.
