Thai Government Holds Forum to Boost Tourism

In Bangkok, the Thai government convened a forum today to solicit input on strategies to bolster the nation’s tourism sector, aligning with Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin’s ambitious vision for 2025, heralded as a pivotal year for tourism advancement.

Prime Minister Srettha assumed the helm at the inauguration of the Ignite Thailand Tourism forum, hosted at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. Emphasizing the significance of 2025, he underscored tourism as a cornerstone of his administration’s agenda, alongside infrastructure enhancements and streamlining immigration procedures.

In recent engagements, Mr. Srettha has deliberated with stakeholders from the realms of Formula 1 and Formula E races, along with prominent fashion brands expressing keen interest in Thailand’s business landscape.

Highlighting Thailand’s multifaceted potential encompassing tourism, trade, and investment, the premier accentuated the nation’s distinctive allure and soft power assets as propellers of economic growth.

Minister of Tourism and Sports Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, addressing forum participants, emphasized that the insights gleaned during the event would be instrumental in formulating strategies to position Thailand as a premier global tourist destination.
