In a joint endeavor aimed at propelling Thailand towards carbon neutrality by 2050, Thailand and Germany have initiated a collaborative project known as the Thai-German Cooperation on Energy, Mobility, and Climate (TGC EMC). This ambitious initiative has received financial backing from the International Climate Initiative (IKI), which operates under the purview of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
The TGC EMC project is set to make substantial inroads by addressing multifaceted aspects pertaining to energy and transportation. One of its key objectives is the establishment of city labs that will serve as experimental grounds for the testing and implementation of innovative technologies and strategies within urban environments. Additionally, the project will extend support in the form of seed funding and capacity development, directed towards local projects and fund managers.
