Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Launches “Amazing Muay Thai Travel Experience” Campaign to Boost Tourism

Bangkok, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has recently unveiled its latest initiative, the “Amazing Muay Thai Travel Experience” campaign, aimed at promoting the country’s vibrant tourism industry. The program aims to showcase the rich heritage and diverse fighting techniques of Muay Thai, the ancient Thai martial art, across four regions of the country.

The grand opening ceremony of the campaign took place at the prestigious Thanarat Hall, located at the TAT headquarters in Bangkok. The event was attended by esteemed guests from the tourism industry, government officials, and martial arts enthusiasts alike.

Apichai Chatchalermkit, the TAT’s deputy governor for tourism products and business, expressed the authority’s commitment to leveraging the art of fighting as a unique selling point to attract more tourists. With its rich history and cultural significance, Muay Thai serves as a powerful asset in showcasing the country’s heritage and engaging visitors on a deeper level.

Under the banner of “Amazing Muay Thai Experience,” this campaign aims to highlight the distinct fighting techniques from four different regions of Thailand. These include Muay Chaiya from Surat Thani province, Muay Korat from Nakhon Ratchasima in Northeastern Thailand, Muay Tha Sao from Uttaradit province, and Muay Lopburi from Lopburi province in Central Thailand.

The TAT deputy governor revealed that each region will host an exclusive event dedicated to showcasing its unique style of Muay Thai. The Muay Chaiya event is scheduled to take place in Surat Thani from June 30th to July 2nd, followed by the Muay Korat event in Nakhon Ratchasima from July 14th to July 16th. The Muay Tha Sao event will captivate audiences in Uttaradit from August 11th to August 13th, and the grand finale, Muay Lopburi, will be held in Lopburi from August 18th to August 20th.
