Tourist Police Inspect Safety Measures in South Pattaya

On March 10, 2024, at 9:30 p.m., a team including Pol. Maj. Gen. Phongsayam Meekanthong, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), along with several other officials from the Tourist Police Division 1, conducted a thorough inspection of safety measures for tourists in South Pattaya’s Walking Street. Understanding the paramount importance of ensuring the well-being of visitors, the tourist police reiterated their commitment to maintaining a robust presence in the area.

Their visit aimed not only to assess ongoing training programs for security personnel but also to reinforce the significance of their roles in safeguarding tourists’ lives and property. Emphasis was placed on enhancing tactical security skills and fostering a deeper understanding of first aid protocols among staff to elevate their capacity to serve as responsible hosts and ensure the safety of visitors in Walking Street.
