On April 10, villagers from Village No. 7, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, raised concerns about the discovery of large white bags suspected to contain hazardous substances near an agricultural pond. These bags, resembling those linked to cadmium chemicals, have prompted fears and calls for immediate investigation. Former Nong Prue Municipality MP, Mr. Veera Thapkhan, highlighted the potential dangers posed by these unidentified bags, urging swift action from authorities to ensure the safety of the community. The presence of such substances near vital water sources raises alarm, considering the health risks associated with exposure to cadmium. Authorities have been urged to intervene promptly to alleviate concerns and safeguard public health.
