At 1:30 p.m. on March 12, 2024, a significant event took place at the Vienna Paradise Room Operations building, Vienna Paradise Academic Department of Hotel and Tourism, located within Sattahip Technical College, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province. It was a momentous occasion as the Office of the Vocational Education Commission, in collaboration with network establishments and production and development network management centers in the field of welding and inspection, organized a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU was aimed at enhancing vocational manpower, particularly in the domain of mechatronics, robotics, and automation.

Presiding over the ceremony was Dr. Prapin Apinaraset, Chairman of the Joint Public and Private Sector Subcommittee for producing and developing vocational education workforce. Mrs. Orathai Yothinrungruang Sudsanguan, Director of Sattahip Technical College, extended warm greetings to all participants and expressed gratitude for their involvement in this significant agreement. The genesis of this collaboration traces back to the Sattahip Model Project, which serves as an educational management model for the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), fostering tripartite cooperation among business establishments, professional associations or organizations, and educational institutions. The primary goal is to cultivate a high-performance vocational workforce through innovative teaching and learning practices, led by professional educators and supported by public-private partnerships.

Mr. Yospon Venukose, Secretary-General of the Vocational Education Commission, highlighted the commission’s mission to produce and develop competent manpower aligned with the demands of the labor market, thereby contributing to the economic and social advancement of the nation. This partnership aims to engage quality establishments in the private sector to actively participate in vocational manpower production and development, facilitating effective vocational education management and encouraging students to excel in their studies and future careers.

The signing ceremony of the MOU signifies a strategic step towards fulfilling the country’s economic development objectives. Dr. Prapin Apinaraset, alongside representatives from related agencies, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in shaping a skilled workforce capable of leveraging modern technology and driving national development. Through collective efforts and steadfast commitment, this initiative aims to address labor market demands, enhance vocational education, and empower individuals to become integral contributors to the nation’s progress.
